From time to time I like to showcase and interview professionals who are managing and thriving with ADHD. Each of us has our own special ways of managing and learning to live with a unique brain wiring. It was my pleasure to have Amber Duffney on my show where she shares her story and how she manages her business, her family while making an impact in young women’s lives.

Amber Duffney is a Certified Professional Coach, having graduated from iPEC in 2018. She works with tween girls to give them tools and skills to be able to empower themselves so that they become strong, confident women who know their worth. She also works with girl Mamas to help them unlearn disempowering messaging from their youth so they can become better role models for their girls.

He has been lecturing on neuro-physiological training, how the brain can be used to affect physiology, since the late 1980s. He designed Lightning Process® seminars, which is now available in 16 different countries. He is known for his engaging lecturing style and ability to make complex concepts simple to understand. He is principal of the Phil Parker Training Institute and lectures at London Metropolitan University where he researches and designs programs, and trains students.
He first trained as an Osteopath and then post-graduate as a brief solution therapist, coach, Ericksonian Hypnotherapist, and Master Trainer in NLP, and completed his PhD in the Psychology of Health researching into a new approach for addictions.
He coaches performers at the highest level, including Premiership footballers, European Tour golfers, Olympic medalists and was the performance psychologist for Ed Stafford’s successful Guinness World Record attempt to walk the Amazon. He has authored a number of papers and four books on coaching and health, which have been translated into a range of languages.

Join the ADHD reWired Team every second Tuesday of the month for our monthly Live Q&A!  In this episode, you’ll hear how the members on the ADHD reWired team thrive with their ADHD, some tools and strategies on how they tackle their most unpleasant tasks, ADHD and gifted programs, and more!  Some of the Questions & Topics in this Episode: I’ve read a lot of books that talk about ADHD as a superpower.  For those who thrive and do well with ADHD, what are the key things that make the difference between somebody who thrives and somebody who struggles?  My son has the option to go to honors classes next year.  His teacher says he has no problem understanding the content and he is smart enough to understand it (the content), but “couldn’t possibly handle honors classes” so they won’t put him in them.  This doesn’t sit well with me.  Are there any suggestions on what I might do?  I need help getting unpleasant tasks done, like job searching.  How do we get these unpleasant tasks done?  My daughter has recently developed a skin-picking habit specifically with her nails to the point where she’ll pick at them until they bleed.  What are some strategies to help her not do it as often, knowing I can’t be there with her all the time?
